History

From flour mill to wedding, in four scenes

  1. 1929 — The Corbins flour mill

Milling here goes back to the 18th century. In 1929 the mill is built as it stands today, using the drop of the canal that runs between Corbins and Torrelameu: a turbine drives every machine by belts, in a building of a basement and three floors.

  2. 1980 — The mill falls quiet

By 1980 the machinery had become obsolete and the industry closed.

  3. c. 2000 — It opens again

Twenty years later restoration work began, to open this corner of the land’s heritage to the public. The mill keeps all its parts, from the pipes that carried the wheat to the machines, and can be visited.

  4. Today — A mill to celebrate in

El Graner, with room for up to 300 guests, the gardens along the canal, the waterfall, the chapel and the in-house kitchen. Rosa and her family welcome every couple. The next wedding, yours.
